The Carnegie Arts Center welcomes Valeria Jimenez as the newest vendor in the Allen Family Members Gallery & Gift Shop.  The Carnegie’s gift shop now features Valeria’s rings, bracelets, and necklaces.

Valeria Jimenez owns and operates Valeriashop, a small business specializing in handcrafted jewelry.  Her accessories are the perfect blend of both exquisiteness and affordability.  Through her unique pieces, Valeria aims to “inspire women to add a bit of glamor into every day.”

Valeria Jimenez tells us her first experience with the Carnegie Arts Center was when she was just six years old.  She was asked if she wanted to enter a piece of artwork in the student art show to be held in the Carnegie’s original gallery (in the historic library building).  For her entry she carefully crafted a paper maché Dinosaur Egg and lovingly painted it in soft shades of blue, green and indigo.  Valeria has remained artistic throughout her life and now 28 years later, when submitting pieces to the Carnegie Arts Center’s Members Gallery, she says her Dinosaur Egg was the “surge of inspiration for this collection.”  Valeria has also become a new Centennial Member of the Carnegie—thank you Valeria!

Have you had an opportunity to visit the Carnegie’s gift shop lately?  Stop by to discover our newest merchandise.  If you love unique jewelry, pieces are featured by Janine Echabarne, Don Hall, Mark Knize, Suzanne McCaslin, and Rhett Owings.
