PROGRAMS

Are you “art curious”? Art Chat Happy Hour is a free monthly gathering for informal discussion about current issues and ideas in the arts. Enjoy lively conversation with like-minded arts patrons in a comfortable and inclusive environment.

These free events are designed to provide a creative and fun experience for the whole family. Whether we are dancing, singing, creating artwork, watching a film or play, each event gives families the chance to be creative together. Family Friday happens once a month.

The 2023-24 season is generously sponsored by Garton Tractor.

A variety of free lectures throughout the season feature presentations on a wide range of arts-related topics. Past lectures have included art historians, artists, anthropologists, curators, collectors, educators, filmmakers, and authors.

Concerts bring exhibitions and the regional music scene to life! Throughout the season a variety of opportunities to listen and enjoy are offered, and expanding variety is a top priority in our programming. Past concerts have included American styles like jazz, folk, and bluegrass, as well as traditional music from India, Portugal, and Japan. Concerts feature student ensembles as well as professional musicians from throughout northern California and beyond.

Thanks to a generous gift from the Ralph Shabazian Trust, we now have an International Music Concert on our Winter/Spring schedule each year.

Families are invited to drop-in for art on the fourth Saturday of every month! A fun, new project is offered each month, exploring techniques and ideas suitable for ages 4 and up.  Materials fee: $5 (discount for CAC members)
