Q. When is the Carnegie Arts Center open?
A. The CAC is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
Q. Does the CAC offer group tours?
A. Yes, groups are always welcome. To schedule a docent led tour please email us at information@carnegieartsturlock.org. Pre-scheduled groups of 8 or more people receive discounted admission of $5 per person.
Q. Do I need to purchase advanced tickets for gallery admission?
A. No advance purchase is needed. We accept credit cards, cash, checks, ApplePay, and GooglePay.
Q. Is food available for sale at the CAC?
A. There is no food available at the CAC. We are located two blocks from Main Street, which is home to a wide variety of restaurants and dining options.
Q. Is photography allowed inside the Ferrari Gallery?
A. Typically photography is allowed inside both the Ferrari and Lobby Galleries; some Ferrari Gallery exhibitions may have restrictions on photography. Please check with the Information Desk for details.
Q. Are pets allowed inside the CAC?
A. Except for qualified service animals, dogs and other animals of any kind are prohibited inside CAC’s building.
Q. Are there discounts on gallery admission?
A. CAC members receive free admission to all exhibitions. The 1st Friday of every month is free for all.
Q. What is Museums For All?
A. Museums for All program is an initiative from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), providing free admission to families receiving food assistance benefits (SNAP EBT). Learn more about Museums for All.
Q. Does the CAC offer classes?
A. Yes. We offer classes for children and adults. Visit our Class page for class information and our current class schedule.
Q. What Membership opportunities does the CAC offer?
A. We offer 9 different membership levels that range in price and benefits. Visit our Membership page for details.
Q. Can I donate to the CAC?
A. Yes, we always accept donations! Visit our Support page for details about donation opportunities.
Q. Does the CAC have rooms available for rent?
A. Yes, rooms are available for rent. Visit our Rentals page for details.
Q. How do I become a Volunteer for the CAC?
A. Visit our Volunteer page to submit a Volunteer Application.
Q: Does the CAC offer authentication, or appraisal, or conservation services on works of art or artifacts?
A: The CAC does not provide these services. If you are interested in having a work of art appraised or conserved, we suggest that you consult a reputable art dealer, appraiser, auction house, or conservator. The following list includes professional associations and organizations that provide referral services to qualified individuals or businesses. We are also able to provide contact information for auction houses in Northern California that have qualified appraisers on staff.

Q. I’m an artist, how do I get my work shown at the CAC?
A. Visit our Artists Opportunities page for details on submitting an Exhibition Proposal and Calls for Entries for upcoming juried exhibitions.
Q. How do I get my work into the gift shop?
A. An artist must be a CAC member before exhibiting work for sale in the Allen Family Members’ Gallery (AFMG) & Shop. All work must be approved by the Shop Committee before being accepted for consignment. Visit our Artists Opportunities page for details.
Q. How do I become a Teacher for the CAC?
A. Visit our Classes Page for details about teaching at the CAC and our Class Proposal form.
CAC Member Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I’ve become a CAC member or I’ve renewed my membership, when can I expect my membership card?
A. Memberships are typically processed every two weeks. You can expect to receive your membership card in two to three weeks.
Q. I am a member of a NARM affiliate museum, how do I redeem my benefits?
A. To use your NARM benefits, please show your proof of membership with a NARM sticker or logo to receive free admission for the members and one guest and/or 10% discount on Gift Shop purchases.
Q. How do I update my membership contact information?
A. Please email information@carnegieartsturlock.org to update your contact information.
Q. I have a CAC membership with NARM benefits, how do I know where I can use my reciprocal membership?
A. Visit the NARM Association website to see the over 1,300 museums where you can access reciprocal membership.
Q. Can I purchase a CAC membership as a gift?
A. Yes, please visit the CAC Information Desk or call (209) 632-5761 ext. 104 to purchase a gift membership.
