The Carnegie’s weekend book fair is coming up on November 5-6, 2016!  Authors will be making presentations throughout both days. Our Keynote Speaker, Los Angeles-based illustrator/author Joe Cepeda will make a presentation on Sunday, November 6th, at 3 p.m.  He is the illustrator of award-winning picture books What a Truly Cool World, Nappy Hair, Mice and Beans, and The Swing, which he wrote as well. Mr. Cepeda has illustrated books for many notable authors including Gary Soto, Pam Muñoz Ryan, Julius Lester and Toni Morrison.  He was selected to illustrate the cover of Shaquille O’Neal and Reading is Fundamental’s Biggest Book in the World.  One of his original illustrations is included in the Carnegie’s exhibition, Childhood Classics.
